Description
Voatsiperifery wild pepper is a liana that climbs trees up to 20 or 30 meters high. Harvesting, done by Malagasy villagers, is very dangerous, and the fruit grows at the top, in the sun only. That’s why it’s known as wild pepper.
Wild pepper is a rather mild pepper, giving a warm sensation with woody, floral and citrus notes.
In the kitchen, wild pepper is a perfect accompaniment to all dishes, flavoring meats, shellfish, seafood, fish and foie gras. Its sweetness and subtlety are ideal with chocolate, honey-based desserts and fruits such as strawberries.
